PAR 5
- 440 (Red)
- 470 (White)
- 500 (Blue)
- 511 (Gold)
One of the many absolutely beautiful holes at SCGC, the 511 yard, par 5 second provides a true test of skill and accuracy. The tee shot demands center to right-center placement to a fairway that falls away left to OB as well as a protruding patch of trees that can easily block the players second shot. For the long ball hitter, the tee shot must be accurately placed to find the center of a narrow opening. Right and long can result in nothing more than a punch out from a pesky stand of trees that lines the entire right side of the fairway. The green is reachable in two but the wayward shot, especially pulled left, can severely penalize the player. The green is again rolling and pitches considerably from back to front. The green at #2 provides the first look at Swan Lake.
"Curt's Causeway" is named in honor of Curt Westfall, father of SCGC owner Kent Westfall. Curt was and is still an avid golfer and a frequent sight around Swan Creek Golf Club.
